Emirati Children's Day

The UAE celebrates Emirati Children's Day on March 15 every year, as directed by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima, President of the Supreme Council for Childhood and Supreme Chairperson for Family Development. The occasion commemorates the publication of the "Wadimah" child rights document in 2016, underscoring the country's commitment to safeguarding children's rights, promoting their well-being in the health and education sectors, and overcoming challenges that could hinder their growth and development. This year, the Emirati Children's Day theme is "The Right to a Sustainable Environment." The celebrations highlight the country's accomplishments in child care and emphasize the importance of community awareness in safeguarding children's future and rights.
