HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), stated that Emirati Doctor's Day is a time to celebrate the vital role and unwavering dedication of doctors.
In a statement issued on Emirati Doctor’s Day, which falls on March 11 of every year, HE Al Owais stressed that the annual occasion is a great opportunity to express our pride in Emirati doctors’ achievements and perseverance and to recognize the integrated efforts of doctors working alongside their colleagues
Additionally, Al Owais acknowledged the unwavering confidence that the wise leadership has in their abilities, recognizing that doctors are the cornerstone of building a prosperous and sustainable future for the nation. By enabling the community to bask in good health and boundless positivity, doctors are instrumental in leading the nation toward excellence.
The minister went on to say that the challenges faced have revealed the immense success of Emirati doctors in solidifying their pivotal role in the health system, fueled by their unwavering determination and sacrifices. This remarkable achievement has been made possible due to the UAE government's resolute support, recognizing the significance of investing in building national capabilities and enhancing their skills.
This approach has enabled Emirati doctors to take charge of shaping the future, and drive the UAE's strategies for sustainable development. As a result, the UAE's qualified and experienced national cadres have emerged as the driving force behind the country's sustainable growth and development, Al Owais added.
"Emirati doctors are deeply appreciative of the support and tireless efforts of our wise leadership, who have provided the necessary resources and infrastructure to empower our doctors and equip them with the latest medical skills and digital health technologies. The government's unwavering dedication to updating health policies and programs, as part of the National Climate Change Plan, is not only commendable but also exemplifies a national strategic framework for fostering a robust and eco-friendly healthcare system.”
