The Youth Council of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has joined the world in celebrating World Youth Day, which falls on August 12 of every year, by organizing a series of events and activities, including a dialogue session entitled "Solidarity of Generations", in addition to other interactive workshops and recreational activities.
Attended by a number of young employees, the dialogue session shed light on the International Youth Day’s theme "Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages", which highlights the importance of youth efforts and their vital role in achieving sustainable development goals in their societies. The session also discussed the role of intergenerational activities in strengthening social cohesion and solidarity among generations.
Futuristic vision
Dr.Rashed Esmaeil AL Hashmi, Chairman of MoHAP Youth Council, stressed that the council has become a promising platform that will drive MoHAP’s journey towards new heights of innovation, excellence and health achievements.
"The UAE leadership has always believed in young people and their potential to significantly contribute to the nation's sustainable growth and ongoing efforts to safeguard the public's health," Al Hashmi said.
He emphasized that the council is committed to launching constructive initiatives that would pave the way for making unique health achievements and realizing the ministry’s strategy.
"In addition to aligning youth ideas with the council's vision, the council supports the ministry's senior management with practical recommendations and solutions to challenges facing young staff at the workplace in order to develop a forward-lookingstrategy for MoHAP youth in line with the UAE's future approaches," Al Hashmi added.
The youth council’s activities have attracted a sizable number of young employees and were held within an atmosphere filled with fun and gaiety.
Lauding the unlimited support extended by the UAE government, MoHAP young employees spoke highly of the ministry’s positive environment, whichignited the spirit of innovation and creativity among young cadres andpromoted their sense of responsibility.
