Humanitarian initiative
In a statement on the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, observed on August 13, His Excellency said that the National Program for Donation and Transplantation of Human Organs and Tissue - 'Hayat', is fundamentally a humanitarian initiative. It plays a key role in raising awareness about the significance of organ donation as a heroic act that embodies the essence of humanitarian giving and offers the gift of life. He expressed gratitude to the families of deceased donors, whose noble decisions have saved the lives of others, demonstrating the highest forms of compassion and humanity.
MoHAP efforts
HE Al Olama emphasized that the MoHAP is committed to implementing sustainable plans for organ donation, focusing on key pillars such as raising community awareness about the importance of organ donation and its positive impact on patients and their families. He noted that the Ministry pays utmost attention to building strategic partnerships by enhancing local and international cooperation with health institutions and promoting research and development efforts to explore new possibilities in this vital field, thereby solidifying the UAE's leading position in the healthcare sector.
