"Emirati Children's Day is an occasion that clearly reflects the interest of the UAE wise leadership to provide utmost care for children in a supportive and sustainable healthy environment helping enhance their capabilities and skills to be leaders of tomorrow and future makers," said HE AbdulRahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention.
Al Owais highlighted the tremendous success of the UAE in strengthening the capabilities of the Emirati child to complete the country's path of prosperity and progress. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the UAE has always been amongst the top countries in the world when it comes to maintaining the health and safety of the child.
The minister valued the efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) Mother of the Nation, and attention and care her highness gives to childhood, as children are the most important and valuable asset in a country and the focus of development and development plans.
He added that the ministry of health attaches special importance to the health and safety of children, including raising awareness of the importance of vaccinations in accordance with the National Immunization Program.
Al Owais noted that the ministry also makes every effort to promote health education about nutrition and healthy lifestyles to provide an appropriate environment for bringing up generations capable of advancing the future of the UAE.

"Emirati Children's Day, observed on 15 March, embodies the UAE leadership's commitment to providing our children with the utmost care and their rights to a healthy environment enhancing their capabilities and skills to play their part in the UAE's renaissance process in all fields," said HE Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention.
Al Olama underlined that the wise leadership has spared no effort to provide children with the greatest care and attention to be leaders of tomorrow, by creating solutions that make a difference and enhance the state’s gains in all fields.
"Child care is an essential requirement for investment in the future. That's why the UAE has been keen to provide the necessary infrastructure and social, health and recreational services that fulfill the ambitions of our children and help them succeed and advance," added Al Olama.
He pointed out that Emirati child is the core of the development process and a future that the wise leadership is betting on. For that reason, the ministry of health has been keen to provide an environment that helps enhance our children's health and guarantees the sound upbringing of future generations.
Al Olama also pointed to the ministry's keenness to ensure children's psychological and physical safety and in accordance with the best international practices, so that children can enjoy a decent life and a better future within the UAE vision for the next fifty years.
