The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) have inked a deal to electronically exchange birth and death data via the Government Services Bus (TDRA GSB). The collaboration aims not only to bolster communication and cooperation but also craft effective partnerships to realize shared strategic ambitions by exchanging pertinent information and data in their respective fields.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on the sidelines of both sides’ participation in GITEX Global 2023, taking place in Dubai, by HE Ahmed Ali Al Dashti, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector, and HE Sultan Mohammed Al Khemeiri, ADHA’s Executive Director of the Support Services Sector.
The ceremony was attended by several senior officials and employees from both entities. Following the signing, it was agreed to establish a joint working group to ensure smooth communication, coordination, and implementation of the MoU's terms.
Strengthening cooperation & coordination
HE Ahmed Ali Al Dashti emphasized that the MoU will strengthen cooperation and coordination with ADHA and leverage the advanced infrastructures of both parties through electronic linkage and data exchange on the birth and death systems. This endeavor will also support ADHA's initiatives and schemes aimed at harnessing this data to refine and execute housing programs for citizens in Abu Dhabi.
Al Dashti reaffirmed MoHAP's commitment to nurturing effective partnerships with both federal and local bodies in the UAE to ensure the successful rollout of national projects and programs. He stated that the birth and death register is updated regularly to align with the UAE's digital transformation developments and engage with relevant government entities, thereby utilizing this crucial data in crafting statistical reports for informed decision-making by authorities concerning future planning and sectoral development.
Cohesive Framework
For his part, HE Sultan Mohammed Al Khemeiri lauded MoHAP’s cooperation in supplying birth and death data within a unified framework. “This partnership, forged within a cohesive framework, aims to fulfil mutual objectives and foster a more integrated approach among all stakeholders, further propelling the UAE's digital transformation.”
Al Khemiri emphasized ADHA's commitment to fostering collaboration and communication with both federal and local government bodies. "Our focus will continue to be on enhancing cooperative efforts and expediting the delivery of essential services to our citizens."
Highlighting ADHA's proactive strategy, he added, "We are driven to adopt cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art systems to upgrade the quality and efficiency of the housing services we offer across various channels. Our ultimate goal is to ensure heightened customer satisfaction and prompt service delivery, thereby enriching the lives of our citizens."
