Mother's Day is an occasion to honor and celebrate the sacrifice and giving of mothers and to recognize their role in building the nation, bringing up our children, and instilling values of loyalty and belonging to this good land in their souls.
As we celebrate this year's Mother's Day, we recall the achievements of Emirati mothers at all levels, all the credit goes to the unwavering support of the wise leadership that made every effort to enhance the role of the mother as a working woman and harnessed capabilities that helped her develop and thrive in all fields.
This day also provides an opportunity to salute the relentless efforts of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the Mother of the Nation, in supporting and enhancing the status of the Emirati mother.
Her Highness has established a cultural, health, social and educational system that supports the Emirati mother and fosters her role in sustainable development, while providing all the necessary means and mechanisms for her protection and care.
On this occasion, the Ministry of Health and Prevention extends its sincere congratulations to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, in recognition of her role towards Emirati women and society at large.
The ministry also takes pride in the efforts of the wise leadership to support and help the Emirati mother hold higher positions in all fields.
On this day, the ministry reaffirms that it attaches special importance to the health of women and mothers in all plans and strategies. To that end, the ministry is carrying out l health programs and initiatives in cooperation with relevant government bodies to provide healthcare services that enhance the physical and psychological health of women, as part of the governmental efforts to ensure the happiness and well-being of mothers.
