It also helps create a health-supportive environment and reduces the rate of non-communicable diseases by adopting healthy lifestyles and increasing health awareness about the importance of regular checkups to prevent diseases, encourage citizens and residents to conduct a periodic examination, through the services provided by MoHAP.

Early Detection of Diseases

Dr. Fadila Mohamed Sherif, Director of MoHAP’s Health Education & Promotion Department, said: “This initiative would help detect disease at an early stage, in which treatment is easier, affordable, and more effective. The program classifies patients in groups to allow choosing the best treatment. The risk classification includes cardiovascular diseases, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, cervical cancer, breast cancer, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, among other diseases.”

The risk assessment will be carried out by analyzing the e-questionnaire filled out by the patient, which consists of scientific evidence-based interactive questions, in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, she concluded.
