Inspiring example
HE Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, (MoHAP), stressed that the UAE has become a role model in empowering Emirati women, enabling them to become key players in the country's growth and prosperity. Whether in science, economics, politics, or the arts, the remarkable successes of Emirati women showcase their skills, determination, and ambition, backed by the government, their families, and the wider community, a support system that has been in place since the UAE was founded.
Participatory approach
Dr. Al Olama also praised the continuous support from H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Mother of the Nation, who plays a fundamental role in backing educational, training, and health initiatives that boost women's development. Her efforts help women gain confidence to take active roles in the UAE’s leadership and development. Al Olama noted that Emirati women are now key players in driving sustainable progress, contributing in their roles at home, in society, and at work, and continuing the inclusive vision set by the Founding Fathers.
Key pillar of sustainable development
"The UAE stands out for the supportive and encouraging environment created by our wise leadership for Emirati women. Thanks to progressive laws and innovative policies, a dynamic setting has been established that promotes the growth and development of women across all sectors. The UAE hasn’t just empowered women; it has made them a central part of the sustainable development story, leading to significant advances in global competitiveness indicators related to women. Today, we see the results of these efforts in the remarkable achievements Emirati women continue to accomplish every day," Dr. Al Olama added.
