In a statement on Emirati Women’s Day celebrated this year under the theme "We share for tomorrow," Bu Humaid said: “H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, President of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation and Mother of the Nation, has laid a strong foundation for the empowerment of Emirati women.

With a forward-looking vision and a comprehensive institutional approach, her efforts have cultivated a generation of trailblazing women leading transformative changes across various sectors. From the Federal National Council to scientific research labs, and from leadership roles in government to innovations in technology, Emirati women are continuously proving to be essential pillars in the sustainable development and future of the UAE.”
