Commenting on Emirati Women’s Day, which falls on August 28 of every year, Al Owais said: " Emirati women, with their multifaceted developmental roles, not only drive societal prosperity and pioneer transformative projects but also shape the UAE's future through innovative collaboration. Their exemplary endeavors inspire both our current society and future generations."
His Excellency emphasized that the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the "Mother of the Nation," Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), to set 'We Collaborate for Tomorrow' as the theme of Emirati Women's Day mirrors the country's long-standing approach, rooted in the vision of its founder, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
It signifies the evolution of Emirati women's roles from empowerment to actively partaking in decision-making and shaping sustainable development pathways. Undoubtedly, Emirati women have demonstrated their indispensable partnership in propelling the nation towards growth, prosperity, and a promising future.
Al Owais noted that under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Emirati women have been empowered like never before, holding a distinguished role in societal growth and development. Therefore, the UAE stands as a leading example in women's empowerment, championing their central role in the sustainable development journey.
Emirati Women's Day is more than a celebration; it's a testament to a national trajectory brimming with accomplishments, reflecting women's integral contributions to work, innovation, and envisioning the future, Al Owais added.
His Excellency highlighted that the tangible successes Emirati women have achieved as part of their roles within the Federal National Council and their active involvement in parliamentary and political arenas have added great value. Their contributions have significantly influenced decision-making and the broader developmental agenda.
The minister emphasized that Emirati women stand as a testament to the growth and prosperity our nation has achieved. They represent the innovative spirit fueling our unwavering commitment to uplift and empower them for success.
