MoHAP’s Visiting Consultants Office to Host the World-Renowned Prof / Paul Tipton, Professor of Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, represented by the Dental Department / Health Centers and Clinics Sector, hosted the Professor / Paul Tipton, Head of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry and expert in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

The visit came as part of the Visiting Consultants Office’s vigorous efforts to enrich the health services and to constantly provide the best medical practices, in line with MoHAP’s strategies aiming to improve and enhance the competency of its medical and technical cadres.

During the visit, Prof / Paul Tipton carried out a comprehensive training program prepared by MoHAP’s dental department. Dr. Maryam Al Sayed Jaffar, Head of Dental Section pointed that the program included four workshops with the participation of about 22 of MoHAP’s dental specialists and consultants, showcasing the best practices in the restorative dentistry, such as foundations of occlusal, methods of designing traditional and modern bridges, and restoration of endodontically treated teeth and nerve treatment.

Furthermore, the visit included a full day for examining, diagnosing, and implementing treatment plans for a number of patients with partial or total teeth loss.

Hosting Global Expertise

Dr. Sultan Al Sharif, Director of the MoHAP’s Visiting Consultants Office, pointed out that MoHAP is always keen on hosting global expertise to provide training, consultative, and therapeutic services, including dental services.

Al Sharif highlighted the goals achieved by the Visiting Consultants Office in terms of hosting the world's most skillful physicians, so as to mitigate the travel and financial burdens on patients, especially those traveling for treatment at their own expense.

He underlined that MoHAP’s strategy of launching the Visiting Consultants Program has proved its feasibility through the provided treatment until full recovery.
