The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organized a ceremony today to celebrate UAE Flag Day at its headquarters as well as other representative offices across the country. The ceremony saw the ministry’s officials raising the UAE flag at 11:00 a.m. with the national anthem playing in the background. The flag-raising event was held in a festive atmosphere filled with pride over the symbol of the UAE’s union.
The Ministry said that the UAE Flag Day is a national occasion to demonstrate our loyalty and belonging to the nation and is an opportunity to renew our pledge of allegiance to our wise leadership and seek further milestones that support the UAE’s excellence. It is a day to celebrate the steadfast loyalty of the UAE people, citizens, and residents, and to reaffirm our support and appreciation for the UAE’s sustainable development march under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
"The Flag Day comes at a special time this year, as the UAE marks the beginning of its new chapter towards the next 50 years as part of its strenuous efforts to shape a brighter future for the nation and achieve the objectives of the UAE Centennial Plan 2071," MoHAP added.
"With every new flag day celebration, we feel prouder than ever before with our national symbol, which symbolizes our unity, loyalty, sovereignty, and solidarity between the leadership and the people. As we commemorate this momentous occasion, we proudly recall our authentic values and core principles on which the UAE was founded," MoHAP stated.
The flag day celebration featured a series of activities during which MoHAP senior officials and employees were seen gathering around the flag and chanting the oath of allegiance, promising the nation and its wise leadership, that they will continue their contribution to elevating the UAE’s position and preserving the country’s flag, the symbol of the nation’s pride and unity.
