The UAE’s celebration of the International Day of Human Fraternity, which falls on February 4 of every year, reflects the human values rooted in the Emirati society and upon which the country was established, said HE AbdulRahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).
This also sends a civilized and positive message to the world with the need to redouble international efforts to build a better present and forge a brighter future for all peoples, the minister added.
“We are very proud that the UAE has been a key part in the United Nations’ initiative launched to adopt an International Day of Human Fraternity, following the signing of the Human Fraternity document in Abu Dhabi under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces,” Al Owais stated.
He emphasized that the UAE has set a global model for coexistence and human brotherhood, and is making every possible effort to enhance the confidence that the better is yet to come and the future holds good tidings. The UAE also pays utmost attention to consolidating human partnership, in line with the directives of the wise leadership and its initiatives focusing on tolerance and human brotherhood, following in the footsteps of the founding father Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Luckily, the UAE’s strenuous efforts in this respect has resulted in making the country a global icon of tolerance and coexistence, and a global model for the integration of cultures and civilizations.
