The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has marked the 48th UAE National Day with a grand ceremony, held at its headquarters in Dubai on Wednesday. The gala featured a series of traditional activities that reflected the sense of belonging to the UAE’s union.
The event was attended by HE. Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Assistant Under-Secretary of the Support Services Sector, HE. Dr. Yousuf Mohammed Al Serkal, Assistant Undersecretary for the Hospitals Sector, and HE. Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing Sector in the Ministry, as well as other heads of departments and staff members.
Historical Turning Point
Al Ketbi inaugurated the ceremony with a speech, extending the ministry’s warmest congratulations to President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of Emirates, as well as the UAE people on the occasion of the national day.
"Today, we are celebrating 48 years of excellence and achievements. On this glorious day, we renew our pledge of allegiance to our wise leadership, which is following in the footsteps the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the UAE forefathers. Since the creation of the UAE and day after day, the country’s union is growing stronger, resulting in quality achievements and the UAE’s launch into the future. Our country now has become an inspiring model for other countries in the world and a key magnet for talented people, creatives, innovators and entrepreneurs" Al Ketbi said.
He stressed that the establishment of the union has been a turning point in the history of the region and that our country today is at the forefront of the world’s most prosperous, developed and stable states. We are up to date with the latest developments and strongly believe in our people’s ability to excel and achieve regional and international leadership.
This has formed a great solidarity between the people and the leadership, which set up ambitious and future-oriented strategies that placed the UAE among the world’s most competitive nations in terms of providing stability, security, prosperity and welfare, he further said.
Ambitions have no limits
"The UAE’s ambitions have no limits thanks to the prudent directives of our leadership, which foresees the future of vital sectors to encourage its young people to lead the country’s development progress and catapult it into new levels of excellence", noted Assistant Under-Secretary of the Support Services Sector.
We will spare no efforts to strengthen the UAE’s union and protect our achievements. We will pursue the journey of leadership driven by strong resolve and persistence and based on an innovative and integrated government strategy in line with the UAE Centennial Plan 2071, added Al Ketbi.
Activities
The Ministry's celebrations involved a wide range of traditional activities, including staging a national march in which the Ministry's officials, employees and customers participated, in addition to a traditional dance performance (Yola), musical performances and heritage competitions, besides other interesting activities.
