The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has obtained the ISO 2019: 56002 in innovation management and ISO 30401: 2018 in knowledge management, making it the first federal entity in the UAE to receive both certificates as per the international “ISO” standards.
A vigorous assessment process was made to ensure that the systems and services compile with the quality standards in the Innovation and Knowledge Management in line with the latest update of the "ISO" system.
Commitment to quality standards
Lauding the great efforts of the staff at the Training and Development Center leading to this achievement, HE Awad Saghir Al Ketbi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Support Services Sector, MoHAP, underlined that such awards underscore the leadership and excellence of MoHAP and its relentless efforts to reinforce healthcare services, in line with the directives and policies of the wise leadership and the UAE Vision 2021 to achieve a world-class health system.
Al-Ketbi emphasized the ministry’s commitment to international quality standards as a systematic approach to becoming a sustainable innovative pioneering institution, in terms of utilizing more global technologies and practices to develop the innovation and knowledge system and qualify cadres to achieve strategic goals.

Saqr Alhemeiri, Director of Training & Development Center and Chief Innovation Officer, said: “These awards reflect the ministry’s keenness to carry out global standards in the quality of healthcare services and to continue on its path to success, despite the extraordinary circumstances of Covid-19 repercussions.
Alhemeiri noted that such achievements help stimulate and mobilize the capabilities of the Center staff to further provide innovative ideas and concepts that bolster the institutional and health work and consolidate knowledge management, especially in the innovation of methods, practices, and training tools based on the latest technologies and global systems.
