Happiness is a Priority on the Government Agenda

“The UAE Government puts happiness and wellbeing among its top priorities. Not only that, but it works on achieving constant development and sustainability of this vital sector. This seems abundantly clear in the National Strategy for Wellbeing 2031, which aims to transform the UAE from the concept of a good life to the holistic concept of integrated wellbeing. This would help achieve the UAE Vision 2021 and the UAE Centennial 2071,” said HE Dr. Youssif Al Serkal.

Our today’s workshop comes as part of MoHAP’s efforts to spread happiness among patients and employees, he added.

Patient Happiness and Satisfaction with Services

“Studies and researches have demonstrated the impact of creating a positive work environment on retaining and improving talents and raising productivity, and that happier employees work harder, thus raising the patients’ satisfaction and clients indirectly. These outputs are a top priority of MoHAP, as they are strong enablers of patient happiness and positive impressions of services, and produce higher excellence and competition in the health sector, which positively affects the welfare of society,” he concluded.

Positive Harmony and Cohesion in Work Environment

Dr. Mona Al Kuwari pointed to the importance of such workshops in explaining the National Strategy for Wellbeing and highlighting many important pillars including; harmony and positive cohesion in work and learning environments to achieve empowerment, growth and development of employees’ performance, mental health, promotion of positive emotions and happy and balanced life, develop an understanding of how to engage the workforce, clients ,and patients, and achieve a higher level of performance at MoHAP’s facilities.

Three Pillars & Five Enablers

Worth mentioning that MoHAP has launched a strategic framework for happiness and quality of life, in conjunction with the International Day of Happiness. While the enablers include; taking advantage of advanced and innovative technological developments, partnerships to enhance quality of life and utilizing sustainable resources to enhance happiness and quality of life, making optimal use of knowledge management to create information exchange platforms to raise quality of life and managing health data to enhance the health agenda and quality of life worldwide.
