Al Owais meets Portuguese Prime Minister to discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries

His Excellency Abdul Rahman Al Owais, UAE Minister of Health, met with His Excellency Dr. Paulo Portas, Portuguese Prime Minister and Dr. Fernando Leal da Costa, Portugese Secretary of State Assistant to the Minister of Health in the ministry’s premises in Dubai. The meeting was attended by H.E. Jaime Leitao, Ambassador of Portugal to the UAE and Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Health.
The two parties discussed bilateral cooperation with all related health bodies in Portugal and the UAE especially in the training, development and usage of modern technologies in the fields of hospitals, medical practices and licensing.
The two parties discussed sending patients for treatment in the well-known Portuguese specialized hospitals and health centers in the field of chronic diseases. They also exchanged information about receiving UAE doctors for training and obtaining the post graduate studies in various specializations and at the same time benefiting from the Portuguese experiences in the medical and health field.
