Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, met with Excellency Peter Elsner-Makcay, Austrian Ambassador to the UAE to discuss various bilateral cooperation issues. The meeting was attended by Dr. Essa Ahmed Al Mansouri,  Director of Undersecretary’s Office and Director of International Health Relations Department. The two parties discussed ways of cooperation and progress in various health and medical issues.

Dr. Al Olama emphasized that cooperation between both parties will highlight ways of attracting international doctor consultants to the ministry’s hospitals and at the same time benefiting from their experiences in the development of health facilities.

Furthermore, the Austrian Ambassador expressed his aspirations to improve bilateral cooperation relations between the two parties in medical and health fields noting the solid relations between the United Arab Emirates and Austria. His Excellency the Austrian ambassador also expressed his admiration of the UAE progress and stated that common relations are currently witnessing continuous development projects for the welfare of both countries.

The two parties also discussed ways of finding international health centers to receive UAE patients for difficult cases especially for the treatment of cancer and injuries. They also talked about exchanging information and efficient visiting doctors and sending UAE doctors for training in the Austrian Republic.
