Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, received His Excellency Glen Cameron, Canadian Consul and commercial Attache’ to the UAE. The meeting was attended by Danielle Haddad, Commercial Attache’ to the UAE and Dr. Essa Al Mansouri, Director of International Health Relations in the Ministry of Health.

The two parties discuss bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the healthcare field and reviewed the procedures of sending patients for treatment abroad in the Canadian specialized hospitals and clinics. They also discussed cooperation opportunities in terms of sending UAE doctors for training and obtaining higher certificates in a number of specialties and benefiting from Canadian experiences in the medical and health field.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Al Olama emphasized the importance of coordinating visits to these specialized hospitals to view latest updates in the medical and healthcare fields and ways of applying them in the UAE.
