Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health met with Excellency Milos Perisic, Charge D’affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in his office in Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries. Attended by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of Public Health and Licensing.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al Olama, expressed his aspirations to improve common relations between the two countries in the medical and health fields then exchanged views about health cooperation in various fields.

Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health emphasized the solid relations between the UAE and Serbian government and nations reassuring that such cooperation would be in the medical education and training fields in Serbia.

Furthermore, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health stated that the meeting discussed ways of attracting visiting doctors in the rare medical specializations such as heart and pediatric surgeries, cancer diseases, spine and orthopedic surgeries in addition to the training of UAE national doctors on the latest medical technologies and devices.

The two parties also discussed cooperation in the pharmaceutical industries, registration of Serbian drug registration in the UAE, communication between the UAE and Serbia in the pharmaceutical sector as well as medical equipments and machines.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama assured the importance of organizing an official visit of a delegation from the UAE ministry of health to some health organizations in the Republic of Serbia to review the standards of therapeutic services and exchanging the experiences of the treatment abroad program.
