As part of the ongoing implementation of the national initiative to increase and promote awareness of healthy lifestyles in society, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has launched the Healthy Restaurant initiative to encourage restaurant owners to provide healthy choices for consumers, helping them to adopt healthy food choices

Objective

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, represented in the Department of Health Education and Promotion, aims through this consultation to support the Ministry's strategic objectives in promoting healthy lifestyles for the UAE community by measuring public acceptance of such initiatives and the extent of societal awareness of the importance of activating healthy eating habits

Decision

Through the measurement of public interaction and acceptance of the Healthy Restaurant Initiative, the Ministry of Health and Prevention will expand the initiative and extend it to a larger number of restaurants to help consumers adopt healthy food choices
