Enhancing community participation in setting healthcare priorities within the participatory budget

Objective:

As part of the government's efforts to enhance transparency and accountability, this consultation aims to involve citizens and their representatives-from civil society organizations, local councils, and healthcare professionals-in identifying priority areas for health spending in the upcoming federal budget. It also seeks to collect feedback and suggestions that will contribute to improving healthcare services and ensuring a fair and efficient allocation of health resources in line with the needs of the population across all emirates of the UAE.

 

Target Group

·       Health associations and civil society organizations

·       Healthcare professionals

·       Youth

·       Senior citizens

·       People of determination

·       Women

·       Residents

·      Individuals living below the poverty line

 

Decision Making:

The consultation results will be analyzed by a specialized team at the Ministry of Health and Prevention. The feedback and suggestions will be taken into account in deciding the financial allocation for the health sector in the upcoming federal budget, with a focus on priority projects that have a direct developmental impact on citizens' lives.
