The Ministry of Health and Prevention is working on developing the National policy for the Promotion of Smart Health Services and Artificial Intelligence in the healthcare sector in the United Arab Emirates. It aims to improve the quality and efficiency of health services while providing comprehensive and equitable healthcare for all members of society. This is through a multi-sectoral national framework that fosters digital innovation and leverages artificial intelligence to support the delivery of preventive, curative, and rehabilitative smart health services throughout an individual's life cycle.

The policy aligns with the UAE's futuristic-looking initiatives, such as 'We the UAE 2031' Vision, 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, UAE Centennial 2071, Fifty-Years Plan in health, the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, and the National Innovation Strategy.

Through this survey, the Ministry seeks to gather community perspectives on several key areas of the policy, including:

  • Strengthening and supporting governance, policies, and digital health regulations.
  • Expanding multi-level partnerships in smart health and AI applications.
  • Developing smart health and AI infrastructure.
  • Ensuring the quality, and sustainability of smart health services and expanding AI use in the healthcare sector.
  • Empowering national cadres with digital skills.
  • Promoting innovation and scientific research in smart health and AI.

  • Enhancing community engagement, trust, and health cybersecurity.
