The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) believes that art has the power to communicate effectively with community members. Recognizing the potential of art as a medium for social change, the Ministry integrated this vision into its awareness strategy. The goal was clear: to educate and influence people about the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and making a difference in others' lives through organ donation.

To bring this vision to life, MoHAP applied the "Art for Health" initiative, with a particular focus on tapping into the talents and energies of the youth artists, at the 11th edition of the SIKKA Art and Design Festival, a celebrated event held in the scenic Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood in Dubai.

The main attraction of the initiative was an interactive installation employing hologram technology to create lifelike representations of human organs like the lungs, kidneys, and heart. This innovative approach aimed to not only capture the attention of the visitors but to also engage them on a deeper level by striking their conscience.

What made this installation exceptional was the seamless blend of art and technology to deliver a poignant message: "One donor can save up to eight lives".

In an attempt to make a lasting impact, the Ministry provided an interactive screen that allowed visitors to engage with the artistic representation of organs. Moreover, to streamline the process of organ donation, MoHAP developed a simple registration system for the National Programme for Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation, "Hayat". Visitors could immediately register themselves as organ donors by scanning a QR code, bringing ease and immediacy to the registration process.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention continues to employ innovative strategies for raising awareness about organ donation. By embracing art as an influential medium, the Ministry has been able to connect with a broad spectrum of community members and inspire them to partake in this altruistic cause.
