Community Health: Prioritizing People-Centered Governmental Goals and Awareness Initiatives

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is committed to realising its vision of establishing a world-class healthcare system that promotes the well-being of a thriving and long-lived society.

To that end, MoHAP spares no effort to provide proactive and highly efficient healthcare services, which would enhance the overall quality and sustainability of a healthy life across the nation, according to the strategic directives set by the country in the field of healthcare.

In this context, the Ministry strives to enhance the health of community members, aligning with its core human-centred governmental objective of raising awareness about preventive healthcare. The National Immunisation Policy constitutes a strategic roadmap for the healthcare system, paving the way for a more efficient response to communicable diseases. It also represents a significant development in health policy planning, reinforcing the national commitment to health security. These efforts are in line with the objectives outlined in the We the UAE 2031 Vision.

Moreover, the Ministry of Health and Prevention collaborates closely with healthcare authorities across the country to intensify awareness campaigns targeting seasonal influenza prevention. These campaigns will not only  help reduce infection transmission, and raise community awareness, but will also enhance the skills and expertise of healthcare workers, and align practices with international best standards. These endeavours are part of an ongoing plan featuring a range of initiatives designed to increase vaccine coverage in accordance with preventive measures recommended by the World Health Organization.
