The global healthcare sector is currently experiencing a transformative change due to the rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI), which has become a major driving force, reshaping the future of healthcare and improving quality of life.

In line with its forward-thinking vision, the UAE is leading the way in investing in digital health and AI technologies, setting a regional benchmark for providing advanced, efficient, and sustainable healthcare services.

At the Ministry of Health and Prevention, we recognise that artificial intelligence is not just a trend; it is a strategic necessity to enhance the efficiency of the healthcare system and ensure its readiness and sustainability. Therefore, we are developing an integrated smart system that incorporates service applications, big data analysis, disease prediction, and personalised health services tailored to the needs of each individual.

Additionally, our strategy doesn't only aim to strengthen digital infrastructure and provide unified health platforms powered by AI but also to empower health and administrative staff through quality training as well as professional development, research and scientific partnerships with renowned institutions both locally and internationally. We also prioritise supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the healthcare sector to encourage the development of new solutions capable of effectively addressing future challenges.

These efforts align perfectly with the National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, which strives to achieve the objectives of "UAE Centennial 2071" by developing a proactive, people-centred, and technologically advanced healthcare system. With AI becoming a national driver, we are committed to enhancing quality of life, ensuring health security, and establishing the UAE as a global leader in health innovation and comprehensive future care.

Moving forward, the ministry will continue to ramp up its efforts to promote the integration of technology and human expertise by empowering national talent, providing them with the knowledge and tools necessary for success. In parallel, we are expanding partnerships to further enhance the role of AI in reducing the workload of healthcare staff, improving the efficiency of administrative processes, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of health quality and the well-being of individuals.
