"Tatmeen" platform is the first of its kind in the region to ensure the reliability of medicines, enhance patient safety
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) is keen to expedite the digital transformation of its services in all disciplines, including in the pharmaceuticals sector. This fits in with the UAE's digital government strategy, which aims to invest in and deploy digital technologies within vital projects to enhance and accelerate service quality. Here is where the innovative platform "Tatmeen" comes into play.
Tatmeen constitutes an important transformation in the pharmaceuticals sector, as it relies on "smart tracking system" solutions and uses the best technologies and equipment, to track and trace pharmaceutical and medical products within the supply chain.
The platform also enhances transparency and reliability through combining efforts with partners in the "Tatmeen" platform to consolidate the country's leadership in the digital field.
"Tatmeen" platform was launched to track and trace the different stages of drug manufacturing. It is the first of its kind in the region and will strengthen MoHAP's role in monitoring the quality of pharmaceutical and medical products while enhancing the health and safety of patients and society.
The platform provides reliable data on medicines to ensure the safety of medical and pharmaceutical products. This follows the directives of the UAE government, which considers community health as a national priority; as well as MoHAP's vision to promote technology integration into healthcare services according to the smart government enablers standards.
"Tatmeen" platform is a unique digital solution that supports the UAE's efforts being made to ensure the safety and reliability of UAE-manufactured and imported pharmaceutical and medical products, based on the SmartTrack technology, in line with the GS1 standards, which enhances confidence in different pharmaceuticals and reinforces the quality and patient safety.
