The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has concluded another successful participation in GITEX Technology Week 2020, where it showcased the latest services and smart initiatives launched as part of its plans to make the most of the latest advanced technologies, improve the health of society and ensure the happiness of patients.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, announced that it conducted 149,798 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

During its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2020, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, highlighted the latest developments and achievements of the ‘Reaya’ platform’, a new smart tracking solution that aims to monitor COVID-19 patients across the UAE until full recovery.

The UAE’s Ministry of Health and Prevention, MOHAP, has announced the official registration of Beijing Institute of Biological Product’s inactivated COVID-19 vaccine in a major step towards combating the global pandemic. The registration of this vaccine is a decision in response to the application from Sinopharm CNBG. The announcement is a significant vote of confidence by the UAE’s health authorities in the safety and efficacy of this vaccine.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, represented by Sharjah Training & Development Center, organized a ceremony to honor the winners of the ‘Be Bold’ program to develop the entrepreneurial skills of youth in the healthcare field and to enhance innovations in four medical specialties, including cardiovascular disease, mental health, obesity among children, and elderly care.

As part of its active participation in GITEX Technology Week 2020, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 6 to 10 December 2020, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, showcased the recent updates of its world-class telemedicine and health monitoring services, which aim to provide innovative digital health solutions and services, deliver specialized care and medical advice remotely, and to cut down the number of visitors to hospitals.
