The Ministry of Health and Prevention announced on Thursday that it conducted over 37,000 additional COVID-19 tests using state-of-the-art medical testing methods.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, expressed his gratitude to everyone working in the healthcare sector, describing them as the "source of the UAE’s honorable pride", working relentlessly for the protection and safety of the communities living in this country.

The UAE Government announced that an additional 511 patients had recovered from COVID-19 after receiving the necessary medical care, raising the total number of recoveries to 6,523.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and Head of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Health Services Corporation, recently visited Masafi Hospital in Fujairah, one of the hospitals allocated to the treatment of the new coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.

The UAE has conducted over 32,000 additional COVID-19 tests over the past few days in line with the Ministry of Health and Prevention's plans to intensify virus screening in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.

As part of the efforts made to enhance its telemedicine system, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, stated that it has recently reinforced its e-services by upgrading the services provided by outpatients clinics of the ministry-run hospitals to become virtual ones, using smart technology and digital communication systems.
