The UAE government has detected 63 new COVID-19 cases belonging to various nationalities, taking to 468 the total tally of infections in the UAE.

Dr. Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, UAE Attorney-General, issued the updated Resolution No. (38) of 2020 on enforcement of penalties for violations following the Cabinet Resolution No. (17) of 2020 to contain the spread of the coronavirus, COVID-19.

All laboratory tests conducted on individuals from sisterly and friendly countries of the UAE, who were evacuated from China to the Emirates Humanitarian City, EHC, have returned negative for coronavirus, COVID-19, and they are ''symptom-free'', affirmed Dr. Faisal Al Ahbabi, Head of Communicable Diseases Program at Abu Dhabi Centre for Public Health.

The UAE announced on Friday the detection of 72 new coronavirus, COVID-19, cases and the recovery of three more individuals.

Anyone violating preventive measures and instructions given by the government to contain the coronavirus, COVID-19, will receive a fine not less than AED500 and not more than AED50,000, which can be doubled in the event of repeat offense.

The Ministry of Health Prevention, MoHAP and the Ministry of Interior, MoI have announced, in collaboration with relevant federal and local authorities, the 'National Disinfection Programme' which entails a complete sterilisation of all public utilities, public transport and metro services during the weekend.
