The Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Central Antimicrobial Stewardship Team (MoHAP’s Central Antimicrobial Stewardship Team) organized a symposium on the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, yesterday (Monday), organized a workshop on the importance of the seasonal influenza vaccine, to raise awareness of the community and health workers at health facilities about flu, ways of prevention and the vaccine efficacy.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, recently organized an introductory workshop to explain the initiative “Partners in Health Promotion” which is targeting a number of retail food outlets in the UAE.

Under the theme “Stroke Hits Hard”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, represented by the Specialized Care Department, organized in collaboration the American University of Sharjah, AUS, and the American Heart Association an awareness event on the stroke and ways of prevention.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, revealed that the Bariatric Surgery Center at Al Qassimi Hospital has obtained the accreditation as a Center of Excellence in the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery from the Surgical Evaluation Corporation (SRC), a leading international institution for review and accreditation of hospitals and surgical departments as centers of excellence.
