The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has signed a memorandum of understanding, MoU, with Novo Nordisk Pharma Gulf with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the innovation field, obesity treatment and employing the smart apps, research and training, and organizing awareness campaigns.

In a ceremony held at Roda Al Bustan Hotel Dubai, the Ministry of Health and Prevention MOHAP has honored 49 health facilities, which have been accredited as World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF “Baby Friendly Health Facility Initiative”.

MA’KOM for Active Life, a new program launched by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) with the aim of stimulating its employees and the individuals over the age of 18 to engage in all types of physical activity for 30 minutes, 5 days a week as part of their daily routine, in addition to adopting healthy lifestyles.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has concluded the advanced edition of the “Heart Experts” Program which was held at the American University of Sharjah in collaboration with the National Ambulance, Ministry of Education, American Heart Association, Healthy Food Restaurants and the Recreation and Sports Complex at the American University of Sharjah.

The Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Public Health Policy and Licenses, HE Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri recently received at MoHAP headquarters HE Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey, CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA).The meeting reviewed the cooperation relations between the two countries in the healthcare services field, especially in the pharmaceutical industry and the mechanisms of developing policies and legislations to keep abreast with the latest international updates.

On the occasion of the World Arthritis Day which falls on October 12 every year, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organized awareness events and free checkups, with the aims of raising the community awareness about symptoms and causes of arthritis and ways of prevention, and adopting a healthy lifestyle and encouraging the early detection of arthritis, in addition to shedding light on ‘Naselkom’ initiative for treatment of patients using telemedicine system.
