The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) participated in the Congress of the International Council of Nurses (ICN) 2019, which was held in Singapore from June 27 – July 1, 2019.

The Youth Council of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has held a youth circle to highlight the dangers of drug abuse and the importance finding solutions to addiction problems, especially by increasing awareness campaigns among university students.

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and Vice Chairman of the Higher Committee for Drug Pricing and Registration, has revealed the registration of “Luxturna”, an innovative gene-based medicine for the treatment of blindness caused by inherited retinal disease.

The Nursing Department of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that 124 affiliate members from nursing and other technical sections were graduated at the end of the 6th edition of Nursing Leaders Qualification Programme which is prepared and approved by the International Council of Nurses. 17 females out of 124 graduates are Emirati certified trainers.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) unveiled its plans for expanding medical examination centers for residency to reach 18 centers to enhance the services provided by the existing 10 centers in light of the heavy turnout by the ministry’s clients.

Under the theme “Hand in Hand”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has recently launched the “Self-Audit” initiative within the context of developing its measures in accordance with health regulations and laws.
