The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced it will organize the First Scientific Conference on Health and Medical Research in the UAE on December 5 and 6 with a view to developing national capacities in the field of health and medical research and creating a suitable framework for scientific research, as well as promoting the skills and competences of national cadres in this field.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has joined the nation in celebrating Emirati Women’s Day, with a digital media campaign launched on its social media platforms. Observed this year under the theme "Inspiring Reality... Sustainable Future," the national occasion falls on August 28 of every year.

HE Abdulrahman bin Mohamed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, emphasised that Emirati women have exceptionally proved themselves in all fields and made remarkable milestones that turned them into true role models both locally and internationally.

Adding yet another feather to its cap, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has become the first entity in the Middle East and North Africa to upgrade from the British Standard for Effective Governance, BS 13500 to ISO 37000:2021 Governance of organizations, according to the British Standards Institution (BSI).

HE Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, has emphasized that the UAE will continue to extend a helping hand to all those in need around the world, irrespective of their religion, race or color, adding that the country’s humanitarian aid has proudly reached out to all parts of the globe.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has recently organized a national workshop in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean to address the "One Health" approach, an integrated, unifying tool for joint assessment and control of zoonotic diseases.
