Under the theme “Transforming Education”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Youth Council (MoHAP’s Youth Council) organized an event to mark the International Youth Day, which falls on August 12, 2019.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP)  provides health advice and tips related to travel destinations. The ministry, accordingly, recommends travelers to visit Travelers Health Clinics ahead of their departure.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), represented by HE Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Public Health Policy and Licenses, received a delegation from AstraZeneca, headed by Mr. Leon Wang, the Executive Vice-President, International, to discuss means of enhancing innovation in the pharmaceutical sector and fostering cooperation to develop treatment of chronic diseases, such as asthma, diabetes and heart diseases.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Biologix and Axios Health Education Services, with a view to providing medications for low-income patients with multiple myeloma, psoriasis, Psoriatic arthritis and relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS). Around 260 patients will be benefitting from this new initiative. 

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced the launch of an innovative package of health care services for people with Down Syndrome, including the establishment of a multidisciplinary clinic at the Fujairah Hospital and the establishment of an electronic health surveillance unit for people with Down Syndrome, in line with the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Medical Genetics.
