In line with the UAE’s efforts to provide comprehensive and innovative health services in accordance with the highest standards of excellence, professionalism and leadership in the health sector, the Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) has announced that it continue provides early detection services for neonatal diseases. MOHAP has revealed that its Laboratory for genetic & neonatal screening services is the only facility of its kind to provide the neonatal screening testing on a national scale for all new-borns in the UAE--from both government and private segments.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has called on the public to be aware of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), stressing the importance of its early detection and treatment.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention’s Youth Council (MoHAP’s Youth Council) organized 5 programs and initiatives as part of the events of MoHAP’s Youth Council in the Year of Tolerance. 

Under the theme “Zero Malaria Starts with Me”, the Ministry of Health and Prevention organized recently an event at Radisson Blu Resort, Sharjah, to shed light on the UAE’s effective strategy to prevent and control the spread of communicable diseases in the society.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organized an open meeting with MoHAP’s private health facilities. The meeting aims to showcase the goals and outcomes of the national indicator of the internationally accredited hospitals and the national indicator of medical malpractice cases for 10,000 of in – patient treated cases.

H.E Abdul Rahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), met Dr. Amrit Ray, the Global President, R&D and Medical, Pfizer EMB, to discuss the possibility of establishing a scientific research and Excellence hub in the UAE.
