"Riayati", a digital healthcare platform for the National Unified Medical Record (NUMR) program, which was launched by the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) in partnership with healthcare institutions in the country, has indeed been a huge milestone added to the UAE's track record of health achievements.
Riayati platform is crucial to enhancing the integration of digital health, which plays a major role in the future of healthcare services, as it would help develop health information systems and apply international standards in the management of healthcare facilities' infrastructure.
"Riayati" platform is a national initiative establishing an electronic digital healthcare platform for the National Unified Medical Record (NUMR) program and Population Health Management.
It aims to transform the healthcare landscape in the UAE, by creating an innovative and integrated central digital medical record system that displays clinical data as well as updated unified medical records to improve the quality and level of health services for people and patients.
"Riayati" program provides a platform for Health Information Exchange (HIE), which will connect public and private hospitals. The program is already linked to the Dubai Health Authority through "NABIDH" project, and to the Emirates Health Services, through the E-Health Information System "Wareed".
The platform is also linked to the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi through "Malaffi" project to ensure the completion of a unified, integrated, digital and centralized national medical record for the healthcare system and enhance the continuity of care and communication between different health authorities, departments and hospitals, while establishing a sustainable and effective healthcare system for the UAE.
The Riayati e-Claims Post Office was also launched to automate and streamline the financial claims cycle. It aims to establish a central data analysis system related to insurance claims and provide a platform that allows healthcare providers to submit and follow up on their claims.
The e-Claims Post Office will also allow the flexible and secure exchange of data related to insurance between health insurance companies and third-party health insurance claims management companies on one hand, and healthcare providers on the other hand.
