H.E. Al Olama: Eid Al Etihad is a landmark day forever engraved in the collective memory of the UAE people

His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, stressed that December 2nd will remain a day forever engraved in the collective memory of the UAE people, whose hearts beat with love for the UAE and with genuine belonging to its land.

In a statement on the occasion of the 54th Eid Al Etihad, Al Olama said: “This national occasion reminds us, year after year, that “impossible” has never been part of this country’s story. It is a moment when we pause with pride and gratitude to remember the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and the founding fathers who stood by his side.

They planted in us the values of unity that shape who we are today, values that make us proud of our rich history, grateful for the bright present we live in, and hopeful for a future that fulfils the dreams of our children.”

Vision of the Wise Leadership

His Excellency emphasized that the march of the Union will continue with confidence under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, adding that this journey is driven by a wise vision and  a dream the founding fathers began,  a dream carried forward today by generations who believe in hard work, hope, and the power of unity.

His Excellency affirmed that the UAE has grown into a symbol of dignity and a source of inspiration for all who seek a better life, guided by the “We the UAE 2031” vision, which places people, their wellbeing, their ambitions, and their future, at the heart of sustainable development.

He added that the nation’s success has been built through dedication, determination, and the belief that the Union is more than a political structure; it is a lasting promise of leadership, compassion, and humanity.

Giving and shared responsibility

Dr. Al Olama said that Eid Al Etihad inspires values of giving and shared responsibility, encouraging continued efforts to build a world-class healthcare system that meets the UAE’s ambitions and enhances quality of life. “We are committed to developing a comprehensive preventive and proactive framework that ensures health security and involves both individuals and society in sustaining it.”

He stated that the health sector has become a fundamental pillar of the country’s overall development, achieving the highest international quality standards and relying on innovation and advanced scientific research. This, he noted, strengthens the UAE’s global leadership in healthcare and ensures the sustainability and competitiveness of services for future generations.
