H.E. Al Sayegh: Eid Al Etihad is the legacy of the founding fathers and the leadership’s path toward the future

H.E. Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, stressed that Eid Al Etihad is a defining national occasion that reinvigorates the spirit of pride and belonging among the people of the UAE.

It is a moment to proudly celebrate the values instilled by the founding fathers, who laid the cornerstone of the Union on a land of generosity and goodwill, a foundation that has yielded a strong, secure nation and a unique model of unity, solidarity, and leadership.

It is this legacy, the Minister said, that continues to make the UAE a beacon illuminating our path forward.

The Founders' Legacy

In a statement on 54th Eid Al Etihad, Al Sayegh stated: "On this day, we remember the visionary founding leader, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and his brothers who charted the course of the Union upon solid foundations and steadfast principles, driven by their determination and faith in one nation, one people, and one common destiny.

Today, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and his fellow Their Highnesses the Rulers of the Emirates, we continue this journey with confident strides toward a more prosperous future, drawing inspiration from their legacy of dedication and service to the nation and its people."

Nation's Story

H.E. Al Sayegh added: "The Union is the ongoing story of a nation, whose chapters we write every day with new achievements and renewed determination, a story that continues to inspire us, while highlighting the power of will, determination, and the pursuit of excellence.

At the Ministry of Health and Prevention, we are committed to supporting this journey by developing a leading healthcare system that embodies our leadership’s vision of placing people at the heart of national development efforts and strengthening the readiness and resilience of the health sector to meet future needs and ensure quality of life for everyone living in the UAE.”

Long live the Union

His Excellency stated: “On Eid Al Etihad, we pledge to remain faithful to the trust left to us by the late Sheikh Zayed, steadfast in safeguarding a nation that knows no impossible, and deeply committed to our identity, values, and rich heritage.

Under the directives of our wise leadership, we will move forward with confidence toward the UAE Centennial, redoubling our efforts and contributions to achieve our ambitions across all fields and embracing every tool of progress. Long live the Union, and long live the UAE as a model of unity, leadership, and humanity.”
