H.E. Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, stressed that the Union Pledge Day is a significant national occasion that celebrates the UAE’s journey of glory and honour. It commemorates decades of nation-building and successive achievements, inspired by the values and principles established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers.

“On this day, we reaffirm our unity behind the wise leadership, our commitment to maximizing national achievements, continuing the journey of institutional development, and reinforcing the values of equality, collaboration, and equal opportunity. It is a moment that holds strategic significance as we take stock of our present and envision our future.”

Renewed responsibility

In a statement on the occasion, H.E. Dr. Al Olama said, “On this glorious national day, we renew our pledge to uphold institutional excellence, strengthen the resilience of the health sector, and entrench the principles of comprehensive health security. “Marking Union Pledge Day,” he affirmed, “is both an honor and a renewed duty, one that compels us to protect the very essence of our Union and steadfastly uphold its founding values. It inspires us to harness collective energy, elevate standards of excellence, and contribute to a nation that has built its progress on unity and its global leadership on collaborative action.

Integrated health system

His Excellency also emphasized that Union Reign Day holds special significance for the Ministry of Health and Prevention. “It’s the Union that has empowered us to establish a unified and efficient healthcare system, one that brings together federal and local efforts to deliver strong preventive and treatment services.”

H.E. added, “At the Ministry, we are guided by clear national directives laid out by the federal government, an enduring roadmap that continues to inspire policies that focus on sustainability, with human health at their core.
