The Ministry of Health has announced the details of its Visiting Doctors Program in November of 2015. For this year, three key hospitals from Ajman, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will host international specialists in orthopedic surgery, weight loss surgery, urology, and pediatric orthopedic surgery.

From November 15 to 19, Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Ajman will receive Prof. Philippe Wicart, Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, while Al Qassimi Hospital in Sharjah will host Dr. Carl Fredrik, Consultant Bariatric Surgeon, from November 8 to 12 and Dr. Michael Waldner, Consultant Urologist, from November 22 to 26. Dr. Robert Hill, Consultant Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon, is scheduled to visit Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah from November 15 to 19.

The guest doctors have been selected based on their academic and professional experience and in accordance with the highest global standards. The Visiting Doctors Program aims to achieve excellence in healthcare services at the Ministry’s facilities through continuous training for doctors and other technical medical staff. Its ultimate goals are to upgrade the skills of the country’s medical personnel and offer world-class healthcare services to the UAE’s citizens and residents.
