Simplified services for seamless customer experience

The Ministry of Health and Prevention is committed to delivering exceptional services to our customers. In line with the national Zero Bureaucracy Programme, we have re-engineered our services to simplify procedures, eliminate redundancies, and enhance overall efficiency.

We have streamlined and improved several services by:

  • Reducing the number of steps required
  • Eliminating redundant procedures
  • Enhancing and accelerating services accessibility

 

These improvements are designed to provide you with faster, simpler, and efficient service experience. Explore the updated and optimized services below.

1. Health Professional Evaluation Services

We have reduced the steps and consolidated the original four services into three, making it easier and faster for health professionals to complete their evaluations. The services are now simplified and streamlined to save time, reduce paperwork, and provide faster approvals.

Updated services

  • Evaluation of Health Professional
  • Verification of Registration of a Nursing Certificate from a Foreign Country
  • Adding Privilege to Health Professional Evaluation

 

Key improvements:

  • Steps reduced by up to 50% across all services, making processes easier and faster.
  • Documents significantly reduced (up to 70%), with many details now automatically retrieved from DataFlow.
  • Enhanced integrations with DataFlow, Prometric, payment gateways, blacklist checks, and Microsoft Teams, allowing seamless processing.
  • Reduced approval times – what earlier took up to 30 days can now be completed in just 5 days or less.

 

2. Medical Professional Licensing Services

We have streamlined the Medical Professional Licensing Services, reducing the number of services from 17 to 7 to eliminate overlaps, simplify procedures, and make the process more efficient for applicants.

New service to transfer license

In addition to the optimized services, we have also introduced a new service – Transfer License from DHA/DOH – enabling professionals to seamlessly transfer their licenses between regulatory authorities without repeating the full evaluation process.

Key improvements include:

  • Steps reduced by up to 50%, making processes such as licensing, renewal, and cancellations quicker and easier.
  • Documents reduced significantly (up to 77%), with several processes now requiring minimal or no document uploads.
  • Enhanced integrations (up to 5 systems) with ICP, NPCM, DataFlow, Payment Gateway, Blacklist, and other entities to automate verification and reduce manual checks.
  • Service times reduced — processes that earlier took days are now completed in as little as 5 minutes for some services.

 

3. Facility Licensing Services

We have streamlined Facility Licensing Services, reducing the number of services from 11 to 6. Additionally, 7 sub-services have been grouped under the Amending of Health Facility License service. These changes have been made to eliminate duplication, simplify procedures, and create a more efficient and user-friendly licensing process for healthcare facilities.

  • Initial Approval for Licensing/ Re-licensing Health Facility
  • Inspection for Licensing/ Re-licensing Health Facility
  • Final Approval for Licensing / Re-licensing Health Facility
  • Renewal of Health Facility License
  • Cancelling the License of Health Facility
  • Amending of Health Facility License:
    • Changing the Name of a Health Facility
    • Adding/Removing Partner in a Health Facility
    • Modifying the Medical Director of a Health Facility
    • Changing the Location of a Health Facility
    • Changing the Owner of a Health facility
    • Add/Remove Specialty to a Health Facility
    • Changing the Type of Medical Activity of a Health facility

 

Key improvements:

  • Significant reduction in steps (up to 63%), making approvals, renewals, and amendments faster.
  • Fewer documents required (up to 82% reduction), with several processes requiring minimal or no uploads.
  • New integrations with ICP, MOI, Riayati, and Tatmeen, automating security checks and approvals.
  • Reduced service times — processes that earlier took weeks are now completed in a few days or even minutes for some services.
