• The UAE National Reading Index has been created to analyze and measure reading habits in the UAE in order to enhance the country’s future development plans and strategies.
• 3378 people participated in the 2021’s field survey.
• 12% of the participants are members of book clubs and 42.5% of them have home libraries.
• 1% of the participants were encouraged to read by their parents during their childhood.
• 3% of the participants prefer e-reading, as opposed to 40.4% of them who prefer to read books.
• According to the survey, religious books topped as the most beloved category of books, closely followed by novels.
