Management of private health facilities is determined based on the facility’s classification:

  • A physician licensed by the health authority to practice medicine in one of the specialties listed under the facility’s activities; or
  • An administrator with a university degree in hospital administration or healthcare management from a recognized institution in the UAE.
• Outpatient care facilities, diagnostic centers, and specialised clinics:
  • A physician licensed by the health authority to practice medicine in one of the specialties listed under the facility’s activities.
• ​​​​​​​Traditional, complementary, and alternative medicine centers, and ancillary health services centers:
  • A qualified professional with an accredited academic qualification in the relevant field.

Will a new license be issued?

No, the existing license is updated with the new location, while maintaining the original license number and other relevant data.

Yes, the facility address must be updated in the trade license issued by the local economic authorities, and the updated version must be submitted with the documents.

Can anyone be added as a partner?

Yes, provided the partner is listed in the updated trade license.

Must the new partner be a UAE citizen?
