The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to further enhance therapeutic innovations for asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) to improve the quality of life of patients and follow the correct methods of prevention, and to develop training programs for healthcare professionals at MoHAP’s hospitals and health care centers in accordance with the latest scientific developments.

In yet another milestone, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has been named winner of the Gold Dolphin Award at the Cannes Corporate Media and TV Festival 2019 recently held in France. The award is in the Human Resources category.

The 7th Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM) ended on a very high note today (Tuesday), with approving five key decisions related to priority health issues and main challenges facing Islamic societies.

Under the theme “Quality of Life”, the UAE, represented by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, in collaboration with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is hosting the Seventh Session of the Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM) in Abu Dhabi from 15 to 17 December 2019, with the participation of 40 Islamic countries.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has warned that a number of fitness centers are promoting and selling unlicensed and unreliable hormones and steroids for gym-goers. The ministry assured that it will confiscate all prohibited products and any dangerous components of public health.
