During his inspection tour at Al Kuwait Hospital, Dubai, on Thursday 2 May, His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), honoured, the first two Emirati female doctors, Dr. Fayeza Ahmed Youssef and Dr. Aisha Al Shiba, who were graduated from the Arab Board of Health Specializations. The two doctors, whose specialties are ENT Head & Neck with surgical and medical management, are considered the first batch of Emirati females.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) today (Wednesday, May 1) honored an elite group of employees in appreciation and recognition of their efforts to reflect the bright image of the ministry and highlight its innovative initiatives and techniques at the Arab Health Exhibition & Congress 2019.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) organized, recently, an awareness event for obesity control at City Centre Mirdif. The event witnessed a high turnout of the center’s visitors who were keen to take advantage of the free check-ups and educational tips presented on the dedicated podium.

The Ministry of Public Health and Prevention (MoHAP), represented by Al Qassimi Hospital, Sharjah, organized recently Endocrine Conference. The event was held at Hilton Sharjah with the participation of a number of relevant researchers, consultants, and international speakers. Also, present at the conference were doctors, internal medicine nurses in various government and private hospitals.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) signed, on Monday 29 April 2019, an agreement with France in order to train and qualify Emirati postgraduate physicians in France. The step aims to fulfill the healthcare needs and encourage medical specialty programmes whether by obtaining a certificate of specialized studies or fellowship programmes.

In line with the UAE’s efforts to provide comprehensive and innovative health services in accordance with the highest standards of excellence, professionalism and leadership in the health sector, the Ministry of Health & Prevention (MOHAP) has announced that it continue provides early detection services for neonatal diseases. MOHAP has revealed that its Laboratory for genetic & neonatal screening services is the only facility of its kind to provide the neonatal screening testing on a national scale for all new-borns in the UAE--from both government and private segments.
