As part of its participation at Arab Health 2019 (Dubai World Trade Centre 28 – 31 January), the Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” unveiled the availability of the smart application “Medopad” for remotely monitoring the body’s vital signs in accordance with the artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. The application aims to analyze patient’s information and generate predictive insights which will be able to detect life threatening medical conditions. 

Within the framework of achieving Vision 2021, National Agenda Indicators in health and preventative services, transformation from E-Government to smart government, Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and in order to implement the initiative of strengthening the pharmacovigilance for the safety of society which has been approved by the cabinet in October 2017, the Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” launched the first-of-its-kind smart application about pharmacovigilance under the name “UAE RADR”.

Within the context of its participation at Arab Health 2019 which will be held at Dubai World Trade Centre 28 – 31 January, the Ministry of Health and Prevention “MOHAP” announced the launch of “Actiste” service for the management of diabetes.

HE Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Under-Secretary for Public Health Policy and Licensing Sector at the Ministry of Health and Prevention, stated that the Ministry is cooperating with pharmaceutical companies to support patent programs and registration of patents at the Ministry of Economy.

Ministry of Health and Prevention launched the first awareness and prevention campaigns of 2019 for breast cancer screening, under the slogan “Scan Today, Not Tomorrow”. The campaign will be run from January 20th to 24th, at Saqr Hospital in Ras Al Khaimah.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced that Masafi Hospital in Fujairah and Al Qassimi Maternity and Pediatric Hospital in Sharjah were granted separate international accreditations by the Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) after a rigorous assessment process conducted by fully certified arbitrators of the application of international accreditation standards. The JCIA team found that the two hospitals have complied with the best international practices, standards, and protocols for clinical services, patient safety, and manpower.
