In a new medical milestone in the Middle East, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, revealed that the medical team at Al-Kuwait Hospital, Dubai, has successfully performed two surgeries using advanced surgical robot technology.

In an outstanding medical achievement, the Cardiology Department at Al Qassimi Hospital for Women & Children of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has succeeded in performing 10 rare and complicated open-heart surgeries for children weighing from 5 to 10kg.

Preparations of Fujairah Hospital are in full swing for obtaining international accreditation, said HE Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), during his recent visit to Fujairah Hospital and the Dental Center.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Roche Pharmaceuticals and Manzil Healthcare Services to provide medications for low-income patients with cancer and multiple sclerosis (MS) whose insurance is not covering such treatment and also for non-insured patients.

As part of ‘Ma’kom for an Active Lifestyle’ program, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MOHAP, organized an event under the theme “Let’s Move” within the National Program for Promoting Physical Activity among Children which aims to encourage children to adopt healthy lifestyles.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, revealed the success of the Robotic Surgeries Program in performing 44 surgeries and 47 medical consultations between February and September.
