Under the theme ‘Protect Your Family from Diabetes’, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, organized several awareness-raising activities in the medical districts to enhance community awareness about diabetes and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles to reduce diabetes hazards, encourage early screening, enhance the role of families in health education about diabetes treatment and its complications, elevate families’ awareness about initial symptoms of the disease, stimulate the adoption of preventive health behaviors to control diabetes, and highlight diabetes-associated health issues and its consequences on the family and entire community.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, and the Department of Economic Development – Ajman (Ajman DED), agreed upon enhancing the electronic connectivity in the field of licensing private medical and pharmaceutical facilities, so that the clients can renew their license through Ajman DED in a quick and easy way.

The 7th Islamic Conference of Health Ministers (ICHM) Health Ministers was officially inaugurated today (Monday) in Abu Dhabi with high-profile attendees featuring Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Ministers of Health and high-level representatives from the OIC Member States and representatives of international organizations.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Janssen, one of the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson to raise community awareness about Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), bolster the medical education for health practitioners, and develop effective patient support programs.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) will make every possible effort to develop its health facilities according to the best international standards and specifications, said HE Dr. Mohammad Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention, MoHAP, organized at its headquarters in Dubai the “World Exhibition of Peoples’ and Cultures’ Harmony” event, which comes in conjunction with the International Day for Tolerance on November 16, every year.
